Co-founder of Furness Mapping Services, Jenny Sanderson has gained a wide experience of the survey and offshore industries in a career stretching from 1993 to the present day. Working mainly on deep seismic and geophysical site survey and inspection projects, Jenny is a skilled and professional surveyor who is ready to support all aspects of your project.
Graduating from the then world-renown North East London Polytechnic in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying and Mapping Sciences, Jenny joined the offshore seismic survey company Geco Prackla as a “Navalyst” or navigation analyst. For more than five years, Jenny gained considerable experience in navigation processing and real-time navigation on board several multi-streamer, deep-seismic survey vessels, working in locations as far afield as the Red Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, the Arctic Circle, and more.
Early in 1998, Jenny moved to the UK-based survey company Svitzer Survey Ltd (then known as BritSurvey). Here she worked on a variety of projects offshore and onshore, as Online Surveyor, Data Processor, MBES/Swathe Data Processor, and Reporting Surveyor. Projects included deep water cable route surveys, analogue and digital site surveys, pipeline and cable geophysical inspections, and more. Jenny remained with Svitzer until the end of 2002, when the company rapidly down-sized in response to a take-over action.
In late 2011, Jenny joined Matt in founding Furness Mapping Services Ltd. Since then, she has been involved in a number of projects in various capacities, including Online Surveyor, Data Processor, and Reports Coordinator. Details of all the projects Jenny has been involved in can be found here.
